1. TEPOZTLÁN

A menos de dos horas de la CDMX, se encuentra el hippie y esotérico pueblito de Tepoztlán. Ten un fin de semana activo con amigos, renten un AirBnB, o quédense en el icónico hotel Casa Fernanda; y aventúrense a subir el cerro, llevar acabo la ruta de los conventos, disfrutar de su maravillosa comida y las "Tepoznieves", y explorar toda la artesanía que se encuentra en los mercadito del pueblo. Si tienen interés en lo místico, apuesten por ir a una ceremonia de Temazcal. No se van a arrepentir.

1. TEPOZTLÁN

Least than two hours away from Mexico City, lies the mystical and hippie small town of Tepoztlán. Have an active weekend with friends, and rent an AirBnB, or stay at the iconic hotel "Casa Fernanda". Go on, and climb the town's hill, go through the convent route, enjoy its marvelous food and "Tepoznieves", and marvel at the crafts found in the town's market. If you have a special interest in the mystical, and pre-hispanic traditions, go to a Temazcal. You won't regret it.

2. PÁTZCUARO

A 350km de la CDMX, se encuentra el increíble pueblito de Pátzcuaro en Michoacán. Puede que este un poco más lejos de lo conveniente; pero llegando aquí, el camino de ida ya no importa. Es claro por qué Pátzcuaro es un Pueblo Mágico: Entre su lago, y la arquitectura colonial, combinada con unas fuertes raíces prehispánicas de su gente, lo hacen de un lugar único e inigualable. Pasea por sus calles, y disfruta de las artesanías y lo increíble de este bonito pueblo. Igual, si tienes la oportunidad, visítalo en Día de muertos: El lugar se ilumina en la noche entre calaveras y edificios coloniales, y deja salir lo mejor de las raíces que conformaron nuestro país.

2. PÁTZCUARO

350 km away from CDMX, is the amazing town of Pátzcuaro, in Michoacán. It may be a little bit to far away for convenience; but when you arrive, the way to get there won't matter anymore. It's clear why Pátzcuaro is a Magical Town: Between its lake, and the colonial architecture, combined with the strong prehispánica roots of its people, make this town unique and unparalleled. Stroll through its streets, and enjoy the crafts of the purepechas, and the beautiful vibe this town will bring you. Also, if you get the chance, visit it on the Day of the Dead: The place its up as night starts to fall, between skulls and colonial buildings, which lets you see clearly the best of the roots that made up our country centuries ago.

3. VALLE DE BRAVO

La opción por excelencia para el chilango que quiere escapar: Valle de Bravo. A unas dos horas de la Ciudad, Valle siempre es una buena opción para disfrutar de aire puro. Camina por sus calles, sal a correr, ve a esquiar al lago, o simplemente disfruta de la paz de no tener que sufrir el tráfico infernal de la CDMX. Come delicioso, y disfruta de este increíble lugar con amigos.

3. VALLE DE BRAVO

The go-to option for the chilango who wants an escapade: Valle de Bravo. About two hours, give or take from Mexico City, Valle is always a good option to enjoy some fresh air. Walk through its streets, go for a run, ski at the lake, or simply just enjoy the peacefulness of not having to suffer from the CDMX's hell-like traffic. Eat deliciously, and enjoy this great town with friends.
